No eruptions in Pinacate, unfortunately.

Volcanic eruptions of the type that made Pinacate are always preceded by earthquakes starting weeks to months before. A seismometer installed in the Sierra Blanca has not yet detected any. The volcanoes here are monogenetic, single eruption cones, that have eruptions that last from a few months to a few years. Parucitin in Michoacán, started in 1943 and ended in 1952 - nine years. As much as I would wish it, there is no active volcanism in Pinacate.
